Dear Hantzmon Wiebel Clients:

You are our top priority. We provide the most up to date information and guidance on how to access the tools and resources you need to continue to thrive. With this in mind, there are several important announcements we would like to share.

First, we reduced our lobby hours in order to ensure a safe, healthy business environment. Our team continues to work full time and is available for all your accounting needs. The lobby, however, is only open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We encourage you to use electronic delivery for documents whenever possible to further protect the health of all parties and to ensure prompt processing. As we approach the upcoming filing deadlines, we will prioritize information necessary to meet the Virginia tax deadline of May 1.

Second, we want to remind you that banks began accepting Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan applications on April 3. If your small business qualifies for the loan and you did not complete an application already, we suggest you file as soon as possible to take advantage of this beneficial program. The information in this article provides an overview of the program and information on what you will need to prepare your application.

Finally, in the midst of all the new provisions of the recently passed Acts responding to COVID-19, it is important to note that companies who use the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) are not prohibited from qualifying for other assistance available under the CARES Act. Be sure to look into the programs available for small businesses and contact us if you have any questions about your eligibility.

There are many programs in place at this time to make sure businesses, families and individuals continue to prosper. As always, we are here to help you make informed financial decisions. Contact us if you have any further questions.
